Shimanek Covered Bridge over Thomas Creek in Linn County, OR, is the youngest (built in 1966) of the 50 odd remaining covered bridges in the State of Oregon. The first bridge at this location was built in 1891, replaced in 1904, 1921, 1927 and 1966. This 130 foot long Howe Truss Type bridge is located NE of Scio, OR.
