Fashion Boy

2002

Fashion Boy has the world at his feet
He casts a downward eye at all whom he meets
Fashion boy has no common cares; His only worry is to sell his wares
To people who appreciate
His perfect hair, shape and weight
Fashion Boy you’ve got it all
You make me wish I wasn’t so damn tall

5 years later

Fashion Boy you don’t seem to have grown
Your hair’s beginning to look like it’s not your own
I saw you lately walking home in the rain
And again this morning you were off to work again
And I was almost tempted to look at you the same
- the same way you used to look at me with such disdain

Fashion Boy you had it all at your feet
You had the cool kids all in your fleet
Fashion Boy you’re left with nothing now
No more than the rest of us, anyhow
