wow! lovely b&w
Thank you so much Su. This is a fun one…
They are not dried up…without the Heavens consentment. Simply perfect drawing neew veins on the EArth…and just challenging the sky patterns of infinite glory. This is splendid and tense, it has smells in it, and though there is not colour added, it is simply extracting what it seems not to be…out of my imagination..and is glorious.Rosa
Wow Rosa, this is nice. Maybe without color, the other senses get to play. Juniper has a great smell. too. I think we can “say” too much, and not involve imagination, and maybe color does drown out the others, so I frequently forget to explore that option. I watch some great Black and white workers here, the the reminder to try has been frequent, and I an usually pleased when I do try. Thanks Rosa.
Hey there Dick… how goes it? Awesome photo… very dramatic… love what Rosa wrote… has smells in it… does evoke all the senses.
Hi Cos, so good to see you here. Brought a warm smile to my heart. Parts of the sky were dramatic for most of the day, but it was the very end when I saw, noticed, how that root swept in the direction of sunset. That wide Tamron lens really emphasized it at 11mm.Thanks kind sir…
Wow, this is stunning Dick. The clarity and contrast of this beautiful scene is amazing… reminds me of Ansel Adams.
This is special Melody, and honor to be compared to Mr. Adams. A treat to read. Thank you very much…
oh I love the symmetry amazing image Dick X
I thought about having a middle horizon, which breaks “rules”, but it is what fit here because of the similarity of paths on the sky and ground. Sometimes the best picture comes in after you have finished and are just walking around, and… it hits you, and you have the “right” lens…Thanks Lisa. xo.
Thank you Donna. I appreciate it.
A magnificent sky…and I agree, Melody’s Ansel Adams comparison is spot on!Lovely work, DickSandra x
Thank you Sandra. I feel just like one of the Addams family… ;) Lurch, now that the allergy season is in full bloom, and then sometimes thing, but with a camera in hand…I am humbled by the reference to Ansel Adams, but he worked so very much harder than do I.Dick x
Fabulous work, Dick! I love the detail in this!
Thank you Mel. Sometimes you have to look around, and maybe get the grand vista shots done so you can really see. This is my favorite of the day, and the last.
Any berries left on that tree Dick? Used to make Gin and the roots and berries also used for medicinal purposes apparently…I prefer the medicinal properties in the Gin myself ;) Gorgeous image and love that sky…wonderful pov! xx
Thanks Tracey. It was and end of the busy day shot, you know … well after you’ve taken every shot you’d planned on … finished and just walking around when an image takes you… Having a camera, being empty of plans, and wandering about late in the day is the very best time…I doubt there were berries since it was very early spring, and I think the new berry crop is growing now. Yes, when I have G&T, it is primarily for the T… It just has a good pick-me-up sound. :)
Your great idea make extraordinary artwork.…….Art Quote of the DayI really believe there are things nobody would see if I didn’t photograph them.Diane Arbus mentioned and I nodded:)……Best regards,Sunny
Thanks Sunny and I think that Diane Arbus quote is about so many images we do.
