Drinking glass view toward Diamond Head, from the Hotel lanai. flipped vertically, to make more visual sense. While finishing a glass of water, I noticed the little bumps on the bottom acted as lenses. “I wonder what would happen if?”…

Canon EOS 20D, 55mm, 1/10sec, f18, ISO 400, RAW.
Processed in Photoshop in several layers.

mmm interesting – you know I have a fetish for glass photography LOL really interesting image

  • Yes I do know that, and your glass abstracts are beautiful. I really think if you broke a mirror you’d take great photos and turn it into 7 years of good luck… ;)
I thought I could easily find a glass like that in the department stores but have not. Now, I know to buy one from where ever I find them. Thanks.

I often look through glass for photo effects but never have found a glass with multi lens… great effect… hope you took the glass home with you… oh, probably shouldn’t encourage theft, meant to say hope you purchased the glass.

  • Hi Cos. I wish I did buy one as I have not found them here. Thought they’d be common.
    Thanks… :)

This is awesome. :) It feels light and playful but at the same time- complicated. Good catch!

  • Thank you Brigitta, sometimes the busy part of the mind wanders off, and you get to play… ;)

  • Hi Colleen and thanks. If you look through a drinking glass does it become a looking glass?
