Egrets Nest

Ree Reid

Little River, United States

Artist's Description

Egrets nesting in the Spring in their natural habitat. The egrets come to our area every Spring and nest. They stay for weeks. First you can watch is the males bringing the females the sticks and twigs to build the nests. Later of course the females lay their eggs. There are always more than one hatchling in the egg. The last stage is watching the newborn chicks. Life cycles, how amazing. I go for hours and watch during the times they are here.
