Magical misty sunbeam morning
It was just magical this morning in Ferny Creek with the mist staying around till midday and the sun streaming through which is quite rare.

Deborah Holman
Very beautiful you live in another world
Robyn Lakeman replied
Thanks Deborah, yes it is another world up here
Ann Van Breemen
How beautiful, Robyn. Love the Rosella and the King Parrott. We used to have them at our last place on Mt. Tamborine. I do miss them. We used to get heavy fogs like this too. I don’t miss them. They were a bugger to drive through, especially at night. Thanks for sharing.:)
Robyn Lakeman replied
Thanks Ann. Yes we have a lot of birdlife up here. I can imagine you missing yours now but yes, the fog is annoying to drive in and we get some pea soup fogs up here
Mel Brackstone
Oh you’re such a show off!!!! heh…..gorgeous images, Robyn!
Robyn Lakeman replied
Oooh I know lol. I always feel so blessed living here except in summer. Thanks Mel :)
Beth Wilson
Wonderful God rays Robyn. Great series, well done. :)
Robyn Lakeman replied
Yes they certainly were Beth, just wonderful. Thanks :)
Heather Hartkamp
Wow! These are positively ethereal! I grabbed the camera and shot out the door this morning but the fog was so heavy here that the only snap I got was from underneath a bridge! No lovely rays like yours here i Geelong. The fog didn’t lift until about 4pm and then it was too late!!
Robyn Lakeman replied
Thanks Heather. Yes this is very rare for the Dandenongs. In all the years I have lived here today was very rare. Normally when the sun starts to come through the mist goes quickly.
Sue Kane
Awesome Robyn!
Robyn Lakeman replied
Thanks Sue :)
Paul Vanzella
Love when you share – these are INCREDIBLE!
Robyn Lakeman replied
It’s a pleasure Paul, I love sharing the Dandenongs with people that love it but don’t or can’t live here
Rosalie Dale IPA
Oooh makes me want to camp out on your balcony! This is a tiny gift to help make up for all the heartache in summer!!
Robyn Lakeman replied
Hi Rosalie, I was thinking of you today and how you only get to photograph sunlight coming through fog about twice a year and what you’ve been through lately. I was wishing you were here as you would have loved it. Yes a tiny gift. We are still contemplating whether to sell our home of 24 years after the horrific summer
Jenni Tanner
Great series Robyn. Wasn’t the fog amazing, it was so thick out here. It lifted around lunch and was as thick as I’ve ever seen by about 4.30pm. I went out into the carport earlier and could see the fog between where I was standing and where Barry was standing – only 10feet away!!
Robyn Lakeman replied
Thanks Jenni. The fog was different to normal with the sunlight streaming through. It wasn’t foggy at all here late arvo/night. Sounds a lot foggier out your way
Mary Broome
Magical!!!
Robyn Lakeman replied
Thanks Mary, we should catch up again soon
intensual
They are so ethereal. How amazing. It’s beckoning you to walk toward the light. But don’t go LOL
Robyn Lakeman replied

Peter Kewley
Fantastic shots Robyn, the fog makes for just magic photography and you have captured it so well.
Robyn Lakeman replied
Thanks Peter, it was just one of those rare days, was lucky
Peter Hammer
I’m just insanely jealous!!!!! That light is absolutely stunning Robyn.
Robyn Lakeman replied
Yes it sure was Peter. I noticed it when I woke up and went up the top of the drive in my nightie and runners, lol must have looked a sight, to capture it before it went
susi lawson
These are all stunning Robyn! What great digital art backgrounds these would make! Of course they are beautiful just as they are!!
Robyn Lakeman replied
Thanks Susi, yes mist is wonderful a DA background espeically with the sunbeams in it. I can think of some wonderful gothic work to be done with them.
WendyJC
