Mornin' ! - female Black cap by

These pretty little birds don’t often get seen as they blend in so well with their surroundings. The male has the traditional ‘black cap’, while the female here has a very attractive russet/orange ‘cap’. There are two females feeding in my garden recently, which is a first here.
Hope you like.

Lovely capture of this sweet bird! I love sparrows and the simpler birds, underated but beautiful in their own way!

  • Many thanks for the kind comments, Angie, which I agree with. Simplicity can be beauty personified, as someone once said ;-)
    Kind regards,
    Dave.

What a lovely little bird – it looks so chubby! Congratulations on having 2 of them – and for being featured!
    Christina

  • Thanks very much for the kind comments, Christina. Yes, hopefully they will nest close by this year. They are not over-common birds these days so it’s good to have them around.
    All the best,
    Dave.

    Here you go…enjoy!

  • If it’s Beatles songs I know where to come, Marie ;-) ;-) I’d forgotten this one, as I think it was a post ‘split-up’ sort of ‘one-off’ record in the mid 90s? Fine song! Thanks so much, friend.
    Dave ;-D
