The Judas in me

There is a Judas in each one of us, Judas represents the fallen man, the greedy man, the selfish man, the manipulator. I am a Judas.

Have I not betrayed,
Connived
Manipulated for my own gain?

I stand guilty – I too crucified my Christ. I hurled my stones at Him. I hurled my obscenities at Him

But my Christ knew I would betray Him –
When I would not stand up for Him
When I would turn my back on Him.
When I would blend in with the crowd
When I would remain silent
As they hurled insults at my Lord.
And stoned Him
There was I,
An onlooker in the crowd.

Yet His plan did not change.
He stood His ground, He stood for me.
He took His cross and
He let me crucify Him.

For the conniver,
The manipulator
The selfish man in me..
He took my sin and nailed it on Him.

This Christ – He died…
For the Judas in me

The Judas in me
