Haddon Hall, the last time I visited here was in the swinging 60’s, ‘twas a junior school trip, I remember buying a leather cased compass with my spending money. On the case, etched in gold, was Pathfinder. Of course, being naive, I was convinced that this object would be able to seek and find a path, no matter where I was …..... what a sage …...... GPS and SAT-NAV …. ooooo if I’d only realised the potential …...........
Well, I will have to pay another visit, if only to find out if the ‘Pathfinder’ is still there.
Thanks for the nostalgia Cat …......... :))
Rinkydink replied
lol thanks richie, that really IS a nostalgia trip. If only your pathfinder had lived up to it’s name eh?
& thanks for making me feel like a youngster ;-)

I love the limited palette you’ve used in post production for this photo. It’s ideal for a basis to the painting in the watercolour challenge – which I intend to enter.
An interesting old stone house – almost a thousand years old, and could be form a Tolkien novel, or Shakespeare, Chaucer, Dickens, etc etc…Gives a fine, painterly effect.
Rinkydink replied
Thank you Colin, much appreciated feedback – good luck with the challenge!

Beautiful work. I love how you manage to make this look so gorgeous and engaging while keeping your color range so narrow. Lovely composition too.
I haven’t been back to your pf in a long time so it’s nice to re-discover what a wonderful artist you are.
