His eclecticism doesn’t stop at music. Coming from a family of artists, Rick always dabbled in other art forms, whether it was drawing, writing or photography. The latter always held a special fascination for him….even as a youngster Rick would spend hours on a secluded beach with a Kodak Instamatic. At 14, he would sneak out of school and take the train into Manhattan to see Dali exhibits, always loving the strange and exotic things in life.
After moving to SW Florida from NY, Rick’s photography passion came to a head and became a reality.
He Loves shooting Wildlife and Nature, but is now exploring other directions, his art becoming eclectic once more. …..he’s got an eye for the odd and surreal. He can see past the surface of a landscape, get inside it, and bring out a mood in his photo to evoke emotion in the viewer. He’s looking forward to experiencing as long and rewarding a journey in photography as he’s had in music.

When I get into that continous shooting mode…it’s like improvising on a Jazz tune.You have to constantly adapt to your enviroment. You have to become part of the enviroment.
Looking at great pictures of all things natural…plants, flowers, animals, landscapes…we can see the beauty in this world that we sometimes take for granted."
