Brian Towers
These digital paintings are beginning to fool me now. I was sure this was done with knife or brush. Nevertheless, it is a clever creation and still needs that special artistic talent which you have Linda.
rightasrain replied
The “brush” is really thick, Brian, and when you paint with the pen tablet you get that feeling you’re actually pushing the paint around. I still enjoy real life painting just that little bit more though. Thank you my friend for your kind comments. The name’s Hillie though lol…but you’re forgiven :
) ;)Antanas

I’m a silly Billy Hillie, calling you Linda when I know you are Gladys….I blame the dementia. Now, where did I put my pills?
rightasrain replied
Maybe I have your pills? I put them somewhere, took one the other day. Darn! Well I’m Silly Hillie from Indooroopilly lol… that’s where I grew up in Brisbane, Oz, hhahahah ;-)
Ruth Palmer
How wonderful Hillie!
rightasrain replied
Thanks Ruth! I really enjoyed this one – a bit hard at the beginning looking at the mess from laying down the colours, but then it came together ok :-)

rightasrain replied
Hello Albert! How are you? Great to see you in here and thanks for your comment :-)
Albert Sellaman
Yes, I’m still not sure about redbubble because it’s hopeless to try and navigate around to find anything of interest,,,,but I will have to give it another try because Deviant Art is so bad now that I’ll probably leave there and spend my time here, but so far this place seems like a dead end.
With the internet expanding all the time , I ‘m waiting for a good site to open up so that I can interact better with my art.
rightasrain replied
Hi again Albert – I’m still wondering what to do too…..working on it :-)
Tahnja
I REALLY love the impressionistic feeling you gave this brilliant piece, wow, fantastic
rightasrain replied
Thank you very much Tahnja – so nice of you to pop by! Glad you like it :-)
J Leslie Booth
R-as-R – don’t know if you know who Leroy Neiman is (http://www.leroyneiman.com/merchant.ihtml?id=50&step=2), but this piece reminds me a lot of his Poster Work (see the link above). Very nice work. Many traditional artists do not feel this is ‘true art’. But, as I tell folks with my work (all digital creations) I am NOT a fine artist. I basically engineer an image to look like a piece of ‘fine art’ ... and thus it becomes just that. ”. ) Exciting sweep and stroke combination… you capture the essence of the energy lost in a still image. Very nicely done.
rightasrain replied
Hi J – thank you very much for your comments and for the link. I see the similarity! When I finished this piece it didn’t look finished but I felt free doing it.
rightasrain replied
And thanks for the fave – means a lot :-)
cdcantrell

Thanks SO much Paul! I’ve read your words on your profile too and it’s really true what you’ve said. You have some good points – doing our own style, not needing to use expensive products, art being an experiment. Well said!!

Hi Tahnja – yeah those things happen – that’s technology for you lol, doesn’t always serve us well. Thanks so much for your kind comments – great to hear from you :-)

Estelle O'Brien
I thought this was a watercolour when I saw the thumbnail of it- it is fantastic! Very cleverly done. I have a special affinity for the Cup-I have drunk champange out of it…. my parents horse won it in ‘78…I have the rug. Arwon (we called him Wonny) came to live with me for a while during his later years…he only died year before last aged 35!
rightasrain replied
Hi Estelle, wow what an age! and what a memory. That would be so special knowing a horse that won the cup. I found some stuff on him online. Thanks so much for commenting, I’m off to check out your art :-)
