Are these places open for public and safe? I mean, is there any risk for you to have something falling on your head or that you get your feet stuck somewhere?

  • No they’re not open to the public and they’re not necessarily safe. As the buildings deteriorate and the roofs begin to leak, so the floor starts to rot and give way. It’s all part of the fun!

Obscene red doors holding open false hope; for as…

I would have liked to put above the gates that open to the asylum, “He who enters here leaveth hope behind.” Ten Days in a Mad-House by NELLIE BLY, Detective Reporter, “New York World,” 1888.

  • Splendid comment! Cheers Richard, much appreciated.
