everything about this image speaks! winds whistling past (or was that roaring!!!) the texture, movement, colours, your treatment…. wonderful! Must have been hard work just walking into the wind, let alone holding a camera still!

Beautiful piece Richie! I lived in Aberystwyth for 4 months some time ago and I loved the scenery and (at times) wild weather. Wales is such an awesome place!

Yes, very much a fitting winner for the fence competition. By the looks of the tree, the wind is prettty constant and never changes direction.

I went back to visit my childhood desert in California. Alas, so many golf courses, artificial lakes, green lawns, etc., had been built that I could no longer even find sand! They had also “planted” the first wind turbines i’d ecer seen because the wind was so constant in a certain area. We used to say that the wind only blew twice a year up there: Six months to the north and six months to the south. Looks like the wind out your way only blows once a year…
