I’m really surprised that no one commented on the skull in the forground. Sets a different mood for me. A old place of time gone by. Beautifully done all the same.

  • richiedean replied

You’ve hit the nail on the head there Jim ….....
The Manor house was built in the 18th century and the owner held lavish parties, inviting numbers of high society guests …....
J M W Turner was amongst them and has rendered a Watercolour of the Mansion …...
Unfortunately, all the expenditure led to the downfall of the place and it was unbelievably demolished in the 1950s …......
So now, with the mansion gone, there are 200 hectares of land to explore and that ram skull, that I added, is part of another story thats linked to Hafod …............ Cheers Jim ….... !!!
