The combination of textures to go with the wind is your thought process… the trees are even leaning that way. I guess you can design the overlying texture to go in any direction. THe aura around the top tree is the commander of its troops.

That is really the movement captured. When I used to ask kindergarteners if they could draw the wind, they always said, “sure.” They sometimes made similar lines. Older children would say, “no, you can’t see the wind.”
You make us see the wind.
