This is another magical area of North Wales ….. Coed y Brenin …..

I have used Painter X to render the image, it has the fullest range of ’ natural ’ brushes and if used with a graphics tablet the transition from orthodox to digital painting is painless, with the added bonus, you can ’ fiddle ’ with the end painting with the knowledge that if you go too far, you can remove it.
As a former traditional artist, I thoroughly recommend ’ Corel Painter ‘
Final ’ tweaks ’ were made in Photoshop …...

    I’m afraid not Lois, although I ended up using Photoshop the original software is Corel Painter X …..

    Thanks Rosemary, I suggest you put a search in Google for ’ Corel Painter ’ tutorials, before considering a purchase …. just to see what you’d be letting yourself in for ….. :))

    I started to read the technical gubbins and gave up after “I have used…” so I reverted back to the artwork itself. Beautiful light and the autumn tones are in full flow in the reflection of the water. The scene is so nicely composed your eye keeps looping around in circles.

    You ought to be careful with that eye looping, you’ll end up doing your famous jig uncontrollably before you know it ….....

Reminds me of Constable…..you should put in a wagon carrying straw….it could possibly be stuck in the stream…...nice work fella and I like it loads despite my tongue in cheek comments. It has your usual Richie Dean style slapped all over it. A very high standard of work indeed Richie!
