Out on a hike in the hills surrounding Machynlleth, UK. .......
This derelict farm gave way to the forestry commission, you can see the pine forest approaching ….. an interesting fact is, the rock group Led Zeppelin, after completing a world tour, decided to chill and stay at a property called ’ Bron y aur ’ , which just happens to be a short way down a track from here. It was there that they wrote their album ’ Led Zeppelin III ’, which, contains the track ’ Bron y aur stomp ’. The latest occupant, which happens to be a vicar, is displeased by the confiscation of roof tiles etc., by worldwide fans, who are seeking a momento of the groups stay …....

    Fantastic image and love the history. Did you know that when Led Zep were forming they were mulling round a name for the group and someone suggested Yardbirds II. Keith Moon said that would go down like a led zeppelin. Hence the name

    Thank you Squealia, it’s all down to Photoshop CS3, I’ve numerous books and DVD’s, so it’s a bit of a learning curve, but very enjoyable !!! :))

    Thanks Michelle, I think that I may have confused people with my text …... the place where Led Zepp stayed, is about a quarter of a mile away, down a forestry track … I might upload an image of their cottage one day !! :))

    While I was working on this shot, I listened to thier album ’ Led Zepplin III ’ for inspiration. The cottage that they stayed in had no electricity and there were no cell phones in those days, so they were very isolated, which gave them the chance to chill and pen the album ….......
