Your pictures are really special and however you produce them they are very impressive. The glow of colours is partcularly effective. More please!

This reminds me of my a view from my childhood garden. I used to stand underneath the overhanging tree along the fence and feed the horses in the adjoining property. I took many a sunset of the distant horizon and the sun sinking into the sea.
Just lovely.
SHEDART
This it fantastic Richie, but please tell me why in gods name have put the brushes away, am i missing some thing or what.
richiedean replied
thank you Jim, obviously this is a digital image with which I could ’ fiddle ’ until I got it to look how I wanted it to …. it would have been impossible to correct in watercolour and unsatisfactory in acrylics ( those are the two mediums that I formerly used ) .
I used to find that about 9 out of 10 paintings that I completed werent totally satisfying to me ( even after trying to rescue them ) they just didnt seem to hit the spot, so there was a lot of wastage in paint, materials and time, not to mention enthusiasm ….
The digital world arrived ….. the ability to scan a sketch into a graphics program …... the program contains all the media available traditionally …. using a graphics tablet and brush that is pressure sensitive ….. no mess, no waste, no waiting, no mistakes ….. result, an image that you forseen at the start ….... that is what you might be missing Jim …....

Wonderful countryside. Love your colours and light.
richiedean replied
Hi Bev, nice to meet you, its amazing, this image has been on the bubble for a year and I’m still getting comments on it …. thank you .:))
SHEDART
Well Richie,as you will have guessed i know nothing about digital art and i kind of half thought it may have been one of your paintings before you took up the camera (fool me) thats what i didn’t understand.
richiedean replied
You dont need a camera for a digital image Jim, like I said , you can scan a sketch, drawn by your fair hand, into the computer and work it from there …...
SHEDART
I’m affraid Richie i don’t have the time left to learn how to do it
richiedean replied
I dont think that you need to learn it Jim, your work is superb any way !! ...... but if you are interested in the way that art is going, just enter digital art in the Google search box …....
SHEDART
So what program would i have to use to do it, my computer has vista with 2gb DDR
richiedean replied
Take a look at the link Jim, it explains the software and if you are interested you can download a free trial from there, let me know how you get on CLICK THIS LINK
SHEDART
Thanks for all the info Richie i just might give it a go some time
richiedean replied
Good luck to you Jim, it’s a fair learning curve, but when you’re armed with the knowledge that you have, it should be a piece of cake ….....
