I began oil painting at the age of 12, turned to commercial art in 2003 and have developed my own personal style through exhaustive self tuition and ‘burning’ the midnight oil ever since. I display my artwork on my website, in galleries, publications, shows and exhibitions Worldwide.
The style of my artwork is contemporary realism, influenced and inspired by the romanticism of my favourite post renaissance Masters. All painted with a knife, a limited colour palette and mixing on the canvas!

    Your work is so incredible! This one is no exception! How long does it take you on the average to complete something like this. The skin coloring and lighting is perfect!

  • Thx… You are so kind. This one took around 25 hours of actual painting time over two weeks after I finished the planning and sketch. I only paint a few hours at a time though. A while ago I set myself target times and rules for paintings and I try to stick to them…
