An old Slaymaker brand lever lock. I dont have a working key to it, and that disappoints me so.

I find this collection of photos very interesting. I wish you could comment on the collection as a whole but, i chose this picture because i am intrigued by locks and i like the details of this photo. Every time i stumble upon this collection, i feel the need to look every photo over again and every time i do, i find something that i did not see before. Anyways this is probably my favorite collection of images on red bubble because you are looking at simple everyday objects in a different way. something magical.
You humble me Alexa! But I’m very glad to hear the collection captivates you =) I’m right with ya on locks… there’s just something about the concept of locks that captivates me. The fact that they hold something, that they’re a tiny barrier to potentially a million things, and yet are so simple. This lock is by far the favourite of the ones I have, and I am still trying to find a key to it as well. I hope you do keep coming back to the collection, because its the one I add to most. Whenever I’m bored, i often find myself studying some random object so closely and intensely, that I decide to try and shoot it. I figure everything has a side worth showing, and for locks that can’t be opened, a second chance at having a purpose, even if it be simply pleasing the eye.
