Keyhole
We’ve all had that moment where we see a lock, and wish to know just what it’s protecting, what’s behind it, and why it is there.
I have submitted this photo to the 1620 challenge “one” because, obviously, I feel this particular image and symbol represents me very well. Like many people, there is only so much you’ll be able to glean from who I am on the outside, and while the outside may be quite mysterious or with-holding of what’s inside, there is a way to open me up – a key to who I am. It won’t be easy or short, but overtime the gears will turn and all that’s protected inside will be open for you to look upon.
Keyhole belongs to the following groups:
1620, All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical, Bubblettes and Object Studies & Concepts Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints, Framed Prints and Posters

I like the composition.
However, I don’t care too much for the photo being super dark on the left, and super bright on the right. I also think the blown-out hightlights on the key hole is a bit much.
But I do like the rich orange color in the middle of the photo. It’s so nice and vibrant!

I already commented that pic .it’s fabulous ,congrats for the home page.
Chris Richards
Thank you and merci to all of you =) This is actually my first home page, so I’m really pumped that it’s getting out there, and as always the feedback is wonderful. Even if you have something critical or nasty to say, let me hear it =) I’m a fan of honest critiques as well, not just positive feedback, although they can be one in the same =) Take care all, and thanks again!

We had to do critiques in class today on the grad exhibit, and your stuff on here was pretty much the only ones we had to work with. We were having a bit too much fun with interpretations of art.
By the way this picture represents the deep darkness of your soul as shown by the darkness of the keyhole. ; )
Like I said, a little carried away. haha
By the way I really like this one!
Chris Richards replied
Haha, my dark soul, eh? ;) you’re doing well with all of this! =P I can only imagine what you and everyone else were coming up with for all my other pictures…. nice to know i could be of assistance (and comic relief?) for you all =)
And thank you! its one of my favourites too =)
Heather Harvie
Yup dark soul. ;) I think some of the others were a bit more restrained with their written work. And yes quite a bit of comic relief!
