Magnificent! Such a wonderful name for for a place….,mythical and mystical. Perhaps Tolkien was inspired by such places.

thanks Bill, I think the name comes from the shape of the tarn, as there are no leaves up there!!!! no Trees the sheep see to that.

thanks Nadine, I just wish that the colours had changed when the sun actually set it would have been fantastic but I think there was just to much low cloud.

What a great feeling of distance looking out over this scene. The cloud shapes at the top seem to “echo” the rocks in the foreground. Well captured!
