Nice shot Rich but I would have cloned out the cables, just a thought.

  • Rich Gale replied

thanks very much I really appreciate your comment, you are right I should of cloned them out maybe, but I would be altering the scene and I suppose that cables unlike cars people is a fixed part of it so would be changing what I see, as I do try and stay true to the location. Or maybe I’m just to lazy :-).

Hi Rich, it is such a lovely scene I just thought the cables were a bit distracting, in Spain where I live there are cables everywhere and I think they spoil our photos, maybe it’s just me, regards Jack.

incredible light, Rich. I read the comments regarding the cables and have to admit that the thought crossed my mind as well. I’m on the fence about it…I’d love unspoiled scenery, but I also like true to life. Reminds me of being in San Antonio and hearing a tourist see the Alamo for the first time and exclaiming “I had no idea it was in the middle of the city!”...I think it’s human nature to want to be the “explorer” of new and never before seen places…untouched by the “progress” of humans. sigh…is there anywhere left out there?

  • Rich Gale replied

I was only joking about the cable I should of removed them it just never crossed my mind!!!!, thanks very much Leslie.

Great capture of light and composition! There is something really melancholy about this image! Maybe the contrast between the stone in darker light and the colors of the sunset off in the distance… I don’t find the power lines detract from the visual whatsoever!

  • Rich Gale replied

Joanne, thank for the coment you know I should of removed those power lines, its not even lazyiness I just did not notice them, I suppose I should really check before I post.
