Castle Rigg Stone Circle
The circle is suppose to be from around 3000BC so its pretty old, this was my fourth attempt over Christmas period to capture this image. Lucky for me I was rewarded with a glorious sunrise.
Castle Rigg Stone Circle belongs to the following groups:

Great shot, how did you get that angle. Did you stand on the wall?!
Rich Gale replied
well that would be telling, I think I would like to keep it a mystery like the circle. But I would say I tried a few things before I got this image like standing on top of a large sheet of ply attached to the roof rack of my landrover unfortunaly the road is to far away to get the right angle but it was worth a try and I got some strange looks!!!!!!.

lol, no I used the 17-40 for this so no IS.
Jonnyfez
You dont, by any chance own a cherry picker or a fire engine do you?
Rich Gale
no but I did wonder about using a cherry picker parked in the lane, I tried the roof of my landrover but the road is to far to get a good angle. like the circle it self it shall remain a mystery!!!!!

I have a few images from there as well, but mine were all taken in bright sunlight and with hundreds of touritsts(!) I only wish mine were half as good as this one. It was WELL worth waking up early and bracing the cold. Did you get it published?
