Embrace
Dry leaves rustled above my head, the winds of spring?
Young sprouts tickled my skin as I drew my face above the surface of the earth and into the breeze.
I felt it drawing, pulling me up, the earth surrendering my body, vines caressing my skin as they slipped lightly from my legs.
Blossoms drifted silently downward their petals fluttering in loving farewell.
“Come”, said the wind
“Be off”, said the earth.
“Embrace your being”, sang the universe.
