To reveal art and conceal the artist,is art’s aim.

sometimes that is true – becoming philosophical with that statement
Hi Cathy, you know I did not expect much attention for this one, but I posted it anyway, because it appealed to me. This street is lined with strange philosophical signs and I like the sort of aimlessness about it – they are just there and people no longer notice them; so I wanted to bring them back to life a bit. The original reason behind them has been forgotten, and I think that’s a shame. Thanks for commenting, I appreciate it. You can travel the lane here if you want:

Fascinating sinage, love the old and new !
Thanks Berns. It’s not the greatest photo of all time, but I liked the highrise dominating the frame and the shadows on the old wall, and of course the enigmatic singage.
Read everyone else’s comments and totally agree, but for me I like it simply for the colour conrtasts! :)
Yes it’s the contrast isn’t it: old versus new; bright colours versus austere browns & shadows; blue building instead of sky; a message that isn’t advertising. Nice take on it Di – trust fresh eyes. Thanks for commenting ; great to see you :-)) ~B
beautifully composed R, looks like the big ‘holes’ all around are endorsing the sign
There was something about this I was trying capture, maybe that was it, I really could work it out other than it made me dizzy taking it ;-) Thanks Georgie.
Oh ! what a grand find. The way you have shot this makes an urban abstract, to my mind. Love the square sign, the triangle abutting it, all those tiny blue rectangles, those long yellow rectanglescrossed by the deep black lines…I LOVE it.Good job,Wow-you are just flying. So good to see. Keep those wings waving…Yonder is a long way away…~sass ;)
