Introducing Scoop Neck Tees and Unisex Tanks — FIND OUT MORE

The buttress of Princes Bridge frames an elegant woman emerging into the hard afternoon light of Southbank. In the background is the new facade of Hamer Hall. She will turn left, climb the new stairway to St Kilda Road and merge with the Saturday afternoon throng.

Oh, this is truly elegant, Rhoufi. The light and shadow in such an abstract arrangement, and with this lovely human figure added, is visually engaging. Love it.

  • Thank you Frannie, I was so fortunate that all the elements coincided in the split second of the shot.

Lovely lovely work Bernard i know this spot exactly and you have done the whole scene great justice . . . . fave Cecily

  • Thanks Cecily, this view has really only just become available with the completion of Hamer Hall and the new stairway. It could become a haunt in the afternoon.

Enchanting combination of shapes and shadows. How nice of her to swing her arm at just the right angle, and how quick of you to catch this humanizing movement. Wonderful BW!

  • Oh Margot you got it in one – “humanizing movement”. Perfect observation of how the human form creates its own unique grace with a simple characteristic movement. Thank you for putting the image into words :-)
