Oscar Wilde – “The Picture of Dorian Gray”
lovely work Rhoufi!
Thanks Cathy, it turned out much better than I imagined it would when I took it.
What a remarkable image of a remarkable structure … Truncated Pyramid with Lapis!
Oh you wag Margot – Lapis had me running for the dictionary and Google and so of course you’re right. The shaded glass deepened the blue of the sky to a gorgeous hue. And since it is the facade of the Recital Centre I had a musical play with the title.
Love the rich colours, contrasts and shapes Rhoufi, this is so striking!
Lucky I didn’t have my polarizing filter on at the time, it would have killed that reflection if I wasn’t on the ball. I love the way the point of view makes it all look so different to what it really is. I should try to sell it as cover to a fantasy novel. It looks like an alien artifact unearthed on a lost planet. But then the whole Recital Centre looks like that. Thanks Georgie
Cool, crisp and clear! (sound like an ad for beer!)
The crispness actually surprised me, but there was so much light available the f7.1 gave good depth of field and the foreground reflection does look like cool water. Thanks Denis.
Yes it does, gorgeous crisp image!
Some images Berns, just have to be colour. I should have nice high key B+W for you soon ;-)
Simple and effective
Thanks for your visit and comment Noel :-)
Extraordinary hues. Elegant, R.
Hi Jan :-) It was the sky reflected in the smoked glass that deepened the blue (see Margot’s comment about “Lapis”). I couldn’t get over how at this angle it looked so much like a mosaic pool in front of a strange pyramid – which of course it isn’t. I had a huge play with perspective and Point of View. Thanks for your visit Jan, always love a visit from you.
Thank you Mike.
the kind of lost island I’d love to live on…….
Oh me too, deep blue and alien looking. Merci Madame ;-)
