The Etihad Stadium sign reflected in the inky water of Victoria Stadium – the ripples on the surface of the harbour created weaving CAPTCHA images changing continuously.

An interesting observation – never pay those capture things much mind but they do have warped letters – difficult to look at at times! Lovely!

  • A necessary evil those things. It was mesmerizing watching the sign wavering about on the black water. Thank you Cathy :-)

Love the contrasts and zing of the illuminated areas!

  • There was a lot of bling about on the night – even before the fireworks. I found lot’s to photograph – I’m easily seduced by bright lights ;-)) Thanks Georgie

Oh, my … did the reflections really show so well (of course, it is Rhoufi’s work!) – they look almost drawn on. Wow. Impressive fun!

  • Oh you flatterer… anyone can take a picture with a Pentax (blerk!) I was like a little boy with toy at the amusement park. That’s what fascinated me – the reflections were so clear, so… up went the ISO and click click click – embarassing to know how many I took, most of which were deleted. Thank you so much for your extended visit Margot and your considered comments.

Whoa….fabulous picture!!!!!!! and really creative. AND it’s making me giggle because I can NEVER read those Captcha things.
    This should win awards.

  • I know, I always have to ask for about 5 different CAPTCHAs before I can get it right – it’s cleaver but inane all at the same time. Thank you Robin :-)

Oh yes this is wonderful what is Captcha? Cecily

  • Thanks Cecily. CAPTCHA is that system you come across on websites that make you read a distorted word and type it into the last box to verify that you are human and not a spamming machine.

It is always very nice to have your humanity confirmed by a machine, don’t you think? ;-)

Those frustrating CAPTCHA prove-you’re-a-human comment features turned into art! I agree with Robin—I seldom can read them correctly. But a necessary evil, as you wrote.
    Remarkable capture, R.
