Yes it is ISO 12800… I’m not joking!

Wow, awesome work my friend! :)

  • Thank you Jannina, I was testing out my new camera and zoom lens. This was shot at ISO 12800 on a Pentax K-5. I was very pleased with the quality. My K-7 would be far noisier at 1600 than this is at 12800, and the colours seem much more lively.

Interesting to note how much light plays an important role in architecture of churches and other sacred places… but may be the true light would have be to searched inside us, in the depths of our soul ?
    A beautiful capture !

  • So much symbolism built into churches. Too much attention to “external” enlightenment, by the priest, by the diety, by the “Church” – and never enough time on personal enlightenment. Interesting word “enlightenment” – as if we were born into the dark and only the Church could “turn on the light”. Great way to maintain power over the individual. I certainly agree that the light from within will burn brighter and longer than the “light” cast by others. Merci :-)

The newer digitals are amazing things aren’t they ISO 12800 and a reasonable image unbelievable.

  • Yeah agreed. Next test ISO51,200 – I won’t be surprised to see a bit of grain up that high!!!!!!!!

    I love light in churches…
even if I have a real problem with religion(s)
inner travel is the only valuable one to me…. light has to be there too…
    nice photo

  • Same for me, wonderful buildings, gorgeous architecture, sweet light, but……
when it comes to light that lasts, the one that burns brightest.. you’re right it comes from within
Merci pour vos pensées, Magali – toujours les bienvenus sur mes pages :-)))

    Wow! Love it, amazing colour!

  • Thanks Berns, not sure how accurate it is (it was very dim inside) but this looks so nice.

  • Thanks Maree, I like the richness too. It rreally surprised me when I saw it.
