A couple rendezvous in a quite alcove on the promenade on the Left Bank of La Seine in Paris.
Ah, romance in Paris…. sigh…. and sigh again :-))
Extremely low light, streetlight flare, excessively high ISO and too far away………. Bof!
I thought this image too grainy to post in its own right, so I included it in the “City of Darkness” video (below). It was taken across the full width of La Seine, late at night with just my trusty 70mm prime handheld and I had to crop in really close to get this view. But many people said they liked it and that I should post it… so here it is.
Sometimes I forget how BW “street photography” casts off the perfectionistic technical aspects of photography and honours the essence of the image, the subjects and the grace of real life.
Thank you all for your wonderful comments.
