Shadows cross the Styx to an uncertain future.

Do you feel like a nameless and faceless soul drifting against the flow of the city crowd.

Do you sometimes feel like checking out, and vanishing to start a new life.

Imagine………

    Brilliant!! :o)))
Know where this is, so much more dramatic at night, so
boring during the day … love it Rhoufi, a fave for me :o)))

  • Coo, you really are thirsty for a bit of Rhoufi Street aren’t you. Thank you so much for such a late night comment. Not many more sleeps before I vanish to the “old world” Elle!!!!

There is a game, invented by Christopher Robin, called Pooh Styx. This is fairly irrelevant, but it’s been a long day.

This is a stupendously awesome photograph, with all the required elements – drama, blackness, texture, narratives begging to be narrated… nighttime noir-ness, which is kind of blackness – I ramble, it’s great. Goodnight.

  • In case you haven’t noticed, my gallery is THE place for rambling. All rampant ramblers, midnight mumblers, drunk drivellers and any other sort of visitors who love leaving their thoughts, however flippant or serious, are most welcome. And your sort of leftfieldism, Evelyn, is more than welcome. Thank you for your comment and your freestyle thoughts.

    It’s
Good Morning" here , But I can really appreciate the Noir of this :-))

  • Thank you BC, that’s what I love about RB it’s dark or light somewhere in this cyber world; someone is always awake and trolling through the pages.

  • Thank you Cathy. This is rather boring during the day, but at night it becomes quite magical.

I know very well this feeling dear Rhoufi, every night is for me a kind of Styx and I am never sure I’ll awake in the same world…. this beautiful capture says it perfectly !!

  • Ah! Yes, I too feel that same urgency with every day handed to me. So much still to do, so much still to understand. I’m sure you will know that feeling that as we get older, the volume of things still to understand seems to get greater. Fear not Dwarkan, with your firm grip on your art and your curiosity for life, any world you find yourself in will be fascinating and welcoming. Merci pour vos pensées et votre commentaire :)))

Stage set : just change costumes and adjust the lighting…marvelous feel, but Evelyn stole my other words!

  • Hi Tiz, it does look like a Stage Set doesn’t it. That’s our Melbourne, thespians everywhere. Thanks for your comment, but don’t worry, Evelyn always finds the unique words before everyone else :))) You’ll just have to arrive at the party earlier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Striking image – very cool indeed :)

  • Thank you Helen. It’s a spot in the centre of Melbourne that is very boring in the day, but then the lights go out and………..voila!

Is that a rain-slackened path to add to the great blacks in this, R? Evelyn did describe it best, particularly that “nighttime noir-ness”. Great shot, B!
