Oscar Wilde – “The Picture of Dorian Gray”
Hahaha!!! Great title Rhoufi :)) Cool pic. Love the light hitting the wall and window frames. Nice one :))
Thanks Di, best little diversion I’ve had in ages. This little lane was like King Solomon’s Mines. It’s effectively a dead end, so I guess the artists have plenty of time to be creative.
Ha! thanks Evelyn. That’s a word for my special street argot dictionary.
Great find! Totally grand photo work!
When you see it like this Margot, it’s almost collage. A street artist with a sense of humour.
And someone tried to shoot him….blue blood for a blue manfunny
Thank you Magali, reminds you of the French Revolution does it: the Red Bloods against the Blue Bloods. I know they replaced all the furniture coverings in the Bordeaux Opera House after the revolution as a sign of disgust. Whoever took a shot at Boris had a bad aim.
Boris had lived with her for years; not like a partner or anything, no nothing like that. Just in the recesses of her vivid extra-curricular imagination. She dreamed of one day having him star in her own highly successful comic strip. It would be successful – she was dead sure of that. When she looked over her balcony on Thursday evening she almost screamed with pleasure, Boris was waiting downstairs. Oh, yes, she could see he’d decided to take a potshot at that blank wall she always intended to get creative with, but aside from that small indiscretion, there he was, cool as you like, lighting a cigarette. She called out to him, he didn’t look up. She ran downstairs and straight into his arms. He’d been waiting. Two days later, her sister found her, flat-out behind the dumpster; just a blue stain making itself visible on each upturned palm.
Well what a great gift – a story as a comment. They don’t come better than that. Thanks Victoria, and inspired comment is the greatest compliment.
No, I have no idea where all that came from! haha!
Who cares! Glad you pushed the “Add Comment” button on the spur of the moment
Someone threw a splodge of paint at Boris, and missed! ;o))Damned stinky things, will he ever quit?
Beautiful ighting and the smallest details especially cool ‘framed’!!! :o))
It is nice framed, isn’t it? Yeah Boris had hair before he took up smoking. Interesting thought – a paint ball war in the alleys of Melbourne. Now that would be worth photographing. Thanks Elle.
Thanks Robin, don’t you love graffiti with a sense of humour. I think this rocks too.
Beware Boris, those lamps are taking notes and the plants have ears. Great capture Rhoufi, the scene looks alive and ‘Boris’ is a ripper.
Don’t worry Georgie, Boris is an old hand at avoiding surveillance: he has this trick – when he turns sideways he’s so thin he disappears entirely ;)))
love it! :-) val
Thanks Val, we have some very funny street artists in Melbourne. But very few people have seen this because it’s hidden away down a dead end alley.
