Oscar Wilde – “The Picture of Dorian Gray”
Great shot Rhoufi, has that old film look, even the hubby like it!
Thanks Deb. It was taken at exactly the same time as The Night Cat so there was very little light. The grain comes from a high ISO, but still that old film look was a surprise, much better than I imagine at capture. Glad hubby likes it – he sounds like a hard task master :—))
Great capture! :-)
Thank you Linda – thse B+W Cityscapes are still out there, always something new.
Love it!!! :-)))
Thank you Ell, I forgot to focus so I was lucky the interesting bits were in the right place, LOL.
Same as above…Love it Well done Rhoufi:))
Thanks Ralph, really appreciate you comment. You’re getting some wonderful effects with your LR.
Ooh this has that ‘any city’ ‘any time (in the past few decades)’ feel. Very cool Rhoufi.
Thanks Georgie, you’re right, it could be anywhere. Don’t know why but Chicago comes to mind, or NYC.
Very atmospheric…the figure in foreground and the lamp above draw the eye in so nicely :^))
Thanks V, I was surprised at how the “mood” developed with the high contrast/grain; must have been the combination of high ISO and balance of street lighting and setting sun (facing west) between the buildings; it feels like a still from a gritty noir movie.
Super shot, R. Looks like a busy street/lane. Flinders is sort of iconic, yes? Perhaps someday we’ll travel south.
These lanes have become quite the attraction in Melbourne. Well if you ever come to Melbourne, I’d love to be your guide, Jan.
Such fabulous light- really nice shot!
Thank you Rosie. This was taken seconds earlier with almost the same framing (bit higher). The light that night was bizarre.
