This is beautiful. And compelling. It’s not easy to look away.
Hi Robin and thank you. Yes I foind that, something about the B+W cat and B+W girl and the cat’s wild, wary expression. I was on a passing tram and shot through a dirty scratched window; never thought it would come out OK.
you can’t imagine how shots I take through my windows…….or maybe you can. I love the way the cat looks like it is staring at you, it seems to be thinking what is that bloke doing
I’ve seen your impromptu shots through windows and I think that’s why I was prepared to risk it. You get amazing effects using windows as natural filters, Aart. The effects you get with your basic camera always astound me.
Superb b/w Rhoufi!!Nice bit of defining light on the arm rest, fabulous shadows under the seat on the pavement, even the bolts on the benchseat rungs are lit up!! … beautifully framed, and that cat!! You’d never know, if not mentioned, that the image was taken through a dirty tram window! :-)
Thank you Ell. I was coming back from the city on Saturday on a tram because the trains were out and things stated to happen. I think I’ll go to town more on the trams. Wow, you notice a lot of things, thank you for mentioning them; I learn from the observations of an astute eye.
leaves the viewer pondering ! perfect timed candid shot!!
That effect of leaving the viewer pondering is my holy grail – it’s all about the story told and untold. Thanks for your observation, James. BTW, I found my Ektachromes of Lake Ohrid a few weeks back and I hope to get them scanned so I can post them. I got the orthodox church – might be good.
Takes an astute eye to notice another astute eye ;-)More to see from/in a tram Rhoufi, doesn’t move as fast as a train either ;-)I always have the camera out and ready :-D
Andrew! Thank you, my first feature in Kairos – so good.
#Woohoo!! Congrats on your feature Rhoufi!! :-D
Thanks Ell. Kairos too! The last shot of the day and what luck. I haven’t had a feature for a while so yeah – Woohoo!
Ah, equally wonderful!
Thank you so much Kirsty. You can drop by anytime ;—))
Congrats on the feature and well deserving…good eye for the quirky:))
Thanks Ralph, I must travel on trams more often. I do like to hunt for the quirky or unusual.
Fascinating image, Rhoufi!! Looks great in B/W!
Thank you Laurie, I’m amazed when a comment appears so far back in the gallery. I appreciate your visit
