Thank you Deb. I thought you were on my watchlist, but I just checked your site and there are many images I have not seen. I’ll return soon when I have more time.
Where was this one taken? Is there a street dedicated to handicrafts?
Thanks Linda, this is short stretch of Mount Alexander Rd near Moonee Ponds Junction. The sign is just the Council and the local traders trying to commercialise the life out of it – it’s mostly night clubs and restaurants. Cool though.

looks like you got caught
I was on a tram going past (see the next shot, closer). I think she just heard it coming and glanced around, but she looks sort of embattled and pissed off doesn’t she?
Hello againKirsty, and thank you again. I love the sort irritaed look on the girl’s face. I shot this through the window of a tram. This image was shot seconds later:

What a difference a “click” makes!
Thanks Tiz, yes two shots less than 5 secs apart. The parallax shift caused by the tram rumbling past brought the cat into the frame seconds after the cocky. The girl turned back to face the poster and voilà a completely new photograph. You have to be ready for any opportunity

this is a great capture on so many levels!
Thank you Doreen. Her turning around was unexpected, but I loved her expression, folded arms and the cocky looking down.
