Reflection Squared by Rhoufi

Goes with Shirt Fronted

and Tie Wracked

and Elegant Variation

How can I explain this? Single colour capture, no additions, no textures, no layers, no photoshop!

Truth and fiction. A shopfront selling shirts and ties opposite a shopfront selling glassware. A reflection in a reflection. Somehow the photographer in between avoids being a character in his fiction.

Oh! just enjoy the photo.

    Wow!

  • Thanks Linda, I love the deep rich colours that came from this and the superimposition of the reflection from behind me over the scene in side the shop. It worked because there is a dark Christmas tree forcing a near perfect reflection, but oddly enough you can’t see the tree. Weird

This is great! Love the other-worldliness of it….kind of elegant/spooky, and I never thought I’d link those two adjectives! V :^)

  • The whole effect was surprise really. I would not have noticed it if I hadn’t been so close to the glass. The central portion was like a portal and reproduced so flawlessly that nothing from inside the shop showed through. And the woman was moving around so elegantly, it was like Alice through the looking glass. Glad you like it, I really do too.

Fantastic !!!! I am glad you explained the photo otherwise I would have been confused :-)

  • Thanks Denzel, the image was so confusing that I thought I had to. With so much Photoshop work around, I think it’s good to do something that is disorienting, but still real.

    like a portal to Wonderland…fabulous!

  • I was getting worried they’d think I was a bit of a lurker – peering in the window pointing the camera on weird angles, getting all excited. The thing I don’t understand is how rich the reflected colours are. Thanks Georgie

Oh, such a strange image and delightful. I stopped, looked, looked again and wasn’t sure what I
was seeing…..then I read the caption…FINE CAPTURE, my friend. Very fine.
    Peace,
