Wonderful, i think the lighting and B&W make the image. Well Done.
The Northern Lights is a great time and place to get street photographs Luke. All along North Terrace there are so many people. But you can get seduced by the colour (see next image I will upload).
Wonderful Rhouf, just brilliant. A wee bit spooky but not really. Disregard my nonsensical comments just stick with brilliant!!!!
Thanks Gwynne :—) I’ve had these for a while and since I’ve not been Bubbling lately I thought I’d post them to make me feel better. I decided to shun the colour and see what B+W was like. The colour versions were too intense.
Thanks Judith, if you saw the colour one you would understand what was going on, but it was just too much colour. The little white face peering into the projected light show was what I was interested in.
Thanks Ell. Here’s where B+W filters out the essence of a shot, I reckon. This kid was having so much fun, running in and out of the light and hiding in the patterns of the projector. But I wanted his expression and didn’t have a long enough lens. Still I love the “weirdness” of this shot.
Love the shadow play here and the framing gives a perfect sense of proportion and perhaps a bit of ghostly illusion to the photo haha i’m weird. really nice though.
No No, I think this looks weird too. It was even stranger on the night – the kid kept running in and out of the light, he was hard to capture. Thank you.
Spooky image. Don’t know why it reminds me of the firing squad ! Well seen and captured. I like the light just on his face and the rest camouflaged into the building. The use of space is very effective.Amazing capture.

I don’t know why I like it……….I just do…..:-)
I’m the same. He’s camoflaged by the intense light and the pattern on his pyjamas. He and his brother were having so much fun.

Like this Rh…very good and stacks of intrigue:))
Thanks Ralph. He was facing the full glare of the Northern Lights’ projectors (must have been blinding), but he was like a rabbit frozen still.
