Oscar Wilde – “The Picture of Dorian Gray”
Great movement and freeze frame!
Thank you Peter, as you can see at 1/50sec I had to pan – fortunately he was just taking off :—))
The guy is really taking off isn’t he. Great capture Rhoufi and same as Peter’s comment, cool how you got motion and still in the same shot. :-)
Thank you Linda, I knew I wanted to catch him with blurred spokes but sharp features, but I didn’t expect the background blur to be so pronounced. He was quite mysterious – the bike is really old and he’s hiding a camera in his right hand! It was like a little silent play going on. The street photographer catches the street photography in the … street :—))
Oh, SUPER!!!! great capture! You tell such amazing stories, in words and images!
Thank you Robin, especially for seeing that I am looking for the stories in my photos.
Congrats on your feature :)
Thank you Peter, Nic & Michelle. It’s very pleasing to featured for my favourite type of image – B+W story photographs.
I like this—there is a visual story here. Nice panning.
Thank you very much Jan. It was the posture of the man walking away and the stark, two, tone B+W of the man on the bike that attracted me to this image. It all said “let’s split” to me.
Well done a superb shot Congrats on the feature :)
Thanks Wayne, I am always chuffed when one of my B+W street shots gets featured – it’s my favourite genre.
Congratulations on your feature.
Thank you Matt: for your comment and your visit.
I just realized you are in Mentone. I grew up in Parkdale – that forgotten little suburb on the outskirts of Mentone and Mordialloc. We used to snorkle off the old pier at Mentone until it burned down – a great seaside spot. Half your luck :—)
Wonderful capture of motion and the frozen…Congrats on your feature :)
Thank you Michelle. This is my first feature in B&W Photography 4 You and that makes me very pleased – it’s a group with inspiring images.
Congratulations again Rhoufi on another feature :)
Thanks yet again Wayne, how pleased I was to have the same image featured twice in one week. Thanks for the second congrats, I appreciate it.
I love the sharpness of the biker and the rest out of focus.V
Thank you Virginia. It’s images like this that tell you something went right and the acknowledgment makes you study it more closely to learn how you might do it again. Paning has never been a forte of mine, but I learned something from this one. Thank you also for making it a favourite.
