Oscar Wilde – “The Picture of Dorian Gray”
I like tjhis one Rhoufi A nice simple composition that really works and the reflection add to the pic
One of the stories in this pic is he is about to serve like in a tennis match at the poor unsuspecting little girl lol.
A nice simple composition that really works
Hi Andrew, thanks for the observation. Yes, very simple was the idea. Same as the next one. The colours of the glass wall and the little girl’s clothes and the red and white of the juggler – just a few strong elements. And this one had to be colour. It was last Sunday – you weren’t there?
This is so well seen & captured ! The reflection as your backdrop adds another interesting element to your composition!! Excellent shot!!!
Thank you James, I really appreciate your comment. And further to my comment on your “Stanjel. Slovenia”, I deleted and then re-added you to my watchlist and will now check it regularly to see that your New Work is coming up on my Activity Feed. I’m a bit peeved that it was not working. See you soon.
The reflection is fantastic and I just love the positioning of the little girls feet – a very childlike action.
Yes! The feet! That’s what I noticed first off, and what a background this POV provided – interest in main subject, but the background stole the show. There is reflection from, and transmission through, the glass and that’s what makes it so interesting. You can actually see what’s inside as well as outside; cool colour too. Thanks.
very nicely framed. The shot itself is really clean, and the blue background works out very well in isolating the subjects due to the color of their clothes. everything’s just in the right place. well done.
Everything you noticed is what drove the composition (I love it when people put into words what you have in your mind!) it’s the white, red, pink and blue that stood out to me and the figures leaning on the wall. I would have loved a longer lens, but I was happy anyway.
Very well composed and captured!! Great!
Thank you Jean, street performers are easy subjects, but it was the little girl, her colourful clothes and the blue glass wall that I wanted to capture. Thank you for your visit, I love to hear from you.
Wow is she really there? She has the air of a visitor from another time and place. Beautifully composed compelling image.
Yeah she was really there, but the colour of her clothes make her seem like she’s from some other time. She was an absolute “china doll” and that foot thing she was doing made her a sure photo subject. Her mum is just out of frame. Thanks for the comment Georgie.
Thank you Lee, I see that you have just joined RedBubble – welcome.
Thank you Roufi for showing us magical moments that remind us of our humanity and the importance of magical moments. Thank you for seeing them and showing them to us so that we remember.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment Cara. I so glad to see that your brother is home safe; what a relief for you and your family. And bravo for deciding to write a novel. I think I know how much that means to you. Travel in peace, and only the best thoughts.
