Snow monkey

This older monkey was nodding off in the warm water. I can imagine it’s much more pleasant sleeping here than out in the deep snow. If any of you have seen the movie “Baraka” this reminded me of the opening scene. In fact that movie was what prompted me to head up into the mountains and see these monkeys.

Fantastic shot of these beautiful snow monkeys. It is hard to believe that anyone would want to harm an animal, especially sentient and amazing creatures like these.

Both Snow Monkey pictures are great. I love the way the older monkey looks as if he’s in meditation.
