Til you wise up
I am influenced by two movies more than any others in my life. They both hit my soul just after piercing my heart and slamming me in the existential gut. These movies do a great job at showing angst and love and how it works together. They both question personal roles and responsibilities in creating ones own heaven and hell. They are: Magnolia and the What Dreams May Come. Here The refrain echoed in the Magnolia movie is haunting. In my opinion it was Tom Cruse’s best role ever. His pain in that movie looked so real. The song ? The refrain? Here
Songs and soundtracks are half of the equation for me. I am visual spatial oriented but the aural part of my brain is easily inspired by great music. That is why I have to listen to tunes when I paint. In the movie Hero, love is overshadowed by duty and honor but triumphs in the story’s message for posterity. Here you hear the them with Itzak Perlman and Tan Dun play “For the Wolrd” Beautiful Piece. Another by them here titled Yearning for Peace.
Shigero Omebeyashi and Kathleen Battle team up for a song called Lovers from The House of Flying Daggers Here another one I find ever so inspiring.

I find it fascinating what touches our hearts and how they do so. Each has our own ways of communicating such thoughts and events to us. I would love to spend hours, even days, to see what touches your heart and how things affect you in life. Your stories tell me alot about you that I find worthy of wanting to know more. You are one whom has touched my heart so deeply and wish that I could somehow live up to. I will go back through these suggestions to try and see if I can possibly see what moves you in them. You’re the best.
