One of the largest known predatory dinosaurs, Tyrannosaurus rex ruled late Cretaceous western North America. Some paleontologists suggest that it was an active hunter. Others hold to the opinion that Tyrannosaurs rex was a scavenger. Either way, at forty feet long and sporting powerfully-built jaws lined with long serrated teeth, the beast was imposing-looking enough to earn the title “Tyrant Lizard King”.
