Hey Jenny! I loved Manchester – so much strong architecture. I have a series I’m working on that this one will be park of (if I ever get around to it!). There was a really nice aesthetic in the Gmex carpark, I thought. Kind of “we respect our architectural heritage, even in a carpark.”

Hey – you’ve summed up Manchestert alright – us Mancunians are proud of our heritage and culture in all aspects – architecture, music, sport… & as we don’t have the same beautiful landscapes as you guys appear to have in Australia we can still manage to respect what we do have be it car parks, gutters and so on!!! Hope you get to finish your series and we get to see more of your fab view on Manchester!

Of all your carpark photographs this one really stands out to me. I agree that the shapes are very eye catching and I also like the texture of the brickwork, the wonderful contrast of lights and shadows, the lovely tones, the “just enough” amount of light to reveal interesting details, the good depth of field and focus and the overall clarity. This image also has the impact of the X Factor.
