My current body of work is an ongoing study of the power of the computer in the hands of an artist. I use several software programs, frequently in combination. The most common software feature incorporated in my work is the use of layers.
Layers enable me to work quickly and save variants at many stages. This retains spontaneity while allowing increasingly complex relationships to evolve. Photographs or fractals are the base of most my work. The retention of a “photographic quality” is rarely the intent of a work. My purpose is rather the creation of a fresh new image with strong impact and an elusive feeling of a thing never seen before.
I have an education but I’m better now.
