2012 Acrylic on canvas 30×24″

From Native American Series Beyond Dreams
12th in this series

When I was a very young boy we lived in many places in these United States of America… no we weren’t illegals… just nomads, anyway I remember living in Montana, most of the plain states, the southwestern states, southern states, some eastern states… and I was always amazed when we went to town…as we mostly lived in the countryside… always there were these people on special days with feathers and beautiful buckskin dress shirts, dancing… and I remember always asking my Grandpapa who are they… He always answered almost the same way… have great respect for these people as for all people… This is the land of the Wolf that we cross… and the home of the Brave..always remember that my son… I still do…funny how over 30 years after his death… I still remember his words, as if it was yesterday… The Land of the Wolf….we cross

Beautiful colors and textures in this my friend. I loved those kinds of stories. The ones that stick with you after the teller has left us behind. Like they left a little of their heart for us. :o)

Very regal and vibrant. I like the face I see in it and wonder if you put it in intentionally or if I’m just seeing things that aren’t there. ;)

Oh Rey this is such a stunning and powerful abstract and very beautiful autobiographical story. I love the regal emerging faces and the stories embedded and expressed through shapes, textures, colours and composition. Another Rey beauty. Love your work dear Rey. xxx

Fantastic work, Rey – too bad there is little respect for people these days.
