From New Geisha Series II
2nd painting in this series

Its been a long time since I’ve seen the movie, play of this lovely opera, ballet that I believe was written by an Italian or Englishman, about this beautifully tragic love story…if my memories serves me…I don;t like to research before I paint…(as I have a certain image on my mind of what I want to paint) and if I research before I paint…It throws me for a loop…funny like that…if I need to research…I do it after I have finished the painting…but very seldom do I change my work because of research…as my visions, my dreams I hold to be true…fantasy or real…
I love all those old time movies with Japanese and Chinese themes… Hollywood style of course…lol from Flower Drum Song to The World of Suzie Wong, and Cry For Happy

Exquisite painting Rey. Love the drama, emotion and the mystery. She is lovely, a true beauty and I love her pensive expression as the red male masked figure peaks over her shoulder. The story is very powerful in this work. I love the detail on her mask (little hearts), her fan (how your signature flows into the design of the fan) and her beautiful artistic dress. Outstanding second painting in this new series dear Rey. xxx
