When I was a young boy and was just starting to learn to paint…..I’m still learning….we as artists never stop learning. I believe when we stop learning we die…..maybe not phyically but the minute we stop learning …...our creativity and our imagination is dead…...I am amazed at some local artists here in the California central coast, and also in the City (San Franscisco) and other places that I have been, of some beautiful work as artists who’s work I have known for a long time and they are still using same technics and styles they learned in art school 20 years ago…....And I always hear them say I run out of ideas to paint….....OMG I have chased Picasso since I was a young boy maybe 7 learning to paint…...as a prolific artist/painter I always average 2 to 4 paintings a day the small ones 24×30”, and 18×24” if I paint any smaller i won’t be able to see what I’m painting. ......Not everyday of course….
My favorite sizes are 60×48” and 54×84” and 48×48” These take me a little longer some as much as 100 hours each, of course I paint dozens of other works at same time. I would go crazy painting only one painting for 100 hours., I have to keep transferring my creative energy to other works or I would go bananas…..I have studied Picasso my whole career and his work still amazes me, and his creative output I believe is still unmatched as he was a prolific artist/painter

    I think Picasso may have found his match in you friend! You are a prolific artist! You are an amazing artist…I can just picture you going from puting your energy into the beginning of one of your works while still maintaining a unending energy in several others you have going!! Your explanation of yourself as an artist was A+!! I never thought anything less! This piece “Chasing Picasso” is excellent! A fav for me…because it is who you are! :)

    i,m with you rey i too love picasso-but many others too-he was always evolving-every day till he died-i,ve seen i think just about every art work he did?i he was a master at15 in classical art form-but he was picasso- that act been done-so we have to be us i guess0 take hints from the masters and do your own thing- i too have painted now for a zillion years it seems?and have been knee deeep in my art—but unlike pee-cash ho-i not rolling in dough-from my art-soo we go on-arting anyways- i love your gusto rey never a goof off-if i had the money i,d paint real huhe too but paint cost to much,so 22by28 is my max just now keep your muse going till you die-or paint your self into a canvas? paz pal
