Canon 5DII + 16-35 mm f/2.8 L Mk II. Three RAW captures post-processed in Photomatix and LR4. Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, May 2012. Much better bigger.
I remember being driven through France as a kid in the 70s by my parents on holiday. My father, a real Brit, disliked paying motorway tolls, so we trundled down countless miles of routes nationales, all lined with wind-breaking poplars and plane trees.
I have driven my daughter – who’s as French as they come – along the same routes nationales, but this is the one I would have liked to see as a child.
Oh, and the title is an echo of what is being spouted out of every politician’s mouth these days. Right now, it’s almost plausible.

Bravo Stefan.. Tres tres joliet .. avec une sauce de impressionism
Thank you, John. Vincent Van G did not spend much time in Provence in the end and I wish Caroline de M had spent even less… :-)

The image, right time, right place, right point of view and composition! Idyllic to the Nth degree. Better than Chamber of Commerce, picture post card perfect.
