New Women’s Chiffon Tops. They’re just so chiffon-y.

Growing up with Pets.. with pictures!

I did. and still have pets..

When I was really young we had a cat named Bilbo.. but my dad hated the thing, lol, so my grandmother took it and renamed it Mitsy, guess grandma wasn’t a fan of The Lord of the Rings.

Then when I was 3 we got a dog..

we named him, well my mom named him Scooby Doo.. durh.. I think the cartoon was on when my dad brought him home. but he was an awesome dog, he hated the mailman, would tear apart all our mail that he put through the slot in the door, and the mailman had to be really careful not to extend his hand to far into the door.. I had scooby till I was 21 years old.. That was really hard on me, having a dog for 18 years of your life the dog really becomes a part of your family.

When my parents got divorced I was finally able to get a cat.. See there is a reason for everything.. lol.. I got a cat, named him PJ,
(painting by my husband)
then my mother renamed him PJ PeePee head, because he pissed just about everywhere. I didn’t care, I LOVED that cat, and just cleaned up after him all the time, I got him when I was 13 and he passed when I was 25, another really hard one to get over.

I had another dog, who loved me, and hated everyone else. Baby. She attacked everyone.. lol.. but after she bit my little sister, my mother had her put down. I guess I understand, but that was hard too.

My parents got a golden retriever after baby died, Jem,

she is still around today, one of the sweetest dogs ever. You could beat her, and she would still come back to you..

My now husband got me another cat while my cat PJ was still around, PJ was old though, and we thought it might vitalize him, and it did! but then the new cat, Atari

got sick and passed she was only about 2 yrs old. PJ passed only a few days later.

I was a mess I just lost practically a kitten and a cat I had for 12 years, so a few weeks later we went out and got 3 more cats.. lol. We adopted them from People for Animals. They told us they had a kitten for us over the phone, but neglected to say the kitten had two siblings available as well, and we just couldn’t split them up, especially because they all seemed to love us so much. It was the best choice I have ever made I think.. These cats are now my children, Christo,

and Dali
and I truly believe they consider me and my husband to be their parents, although, my husband would argue that the one cat, Rockwell,
might consider himself to be my lover, lol. He is very very affectionate, kisses me all the time, follows me around, waits for me to go to bed and then jumps in and crawls under the covers with me so that I can hold him all night.. Is that weird? lol.

When we moved to our house we live in now, we put in a pond in the backyard, and got a couple of fish. We didn’t name the fish,

That winter we were unsure of what to do with them, and we talked to a few people at pond stores, and online and they all said they would be fine if we left them in the pond. Well they weren’t. Come spring we had 2 dead fish in our pond. We felt incredibly guilty, and this winter we took the 3 new fish, we didnt name these either,

we put in the pond and put them in a tank inside. Where they are doing just fine! This is what inspired me to do my illustration for ResponsiGILLities.

I also have this illustration up in a competition over at Threadless.com if you have an account there, you can go vote for it..

Looking back at all the animals I had throughout my life, and how strongly they all affected me, Its really no wonder that I am a vegetarian. Throughout my life I have had 3 dogs, 6 cats, one hermit crab and 7 fish! Today I have 3 cats and 3 fish, and we are considering getting a dog!
